Metaprograms Part 1: Practical NLP Podcast 59

Metaprograms in NLP are one of the sets of filters we use to create our map of the world. They run ‘in the background’ so we are usually not consciously aware of them.

They drive:

  • what we pay attention to
  • what we respond to
  • what motivates us
  • how we interact with the people around us
  • the kind of language that will influence us

This podcast introduces metaprograms (and five reasons you need to know about them!) and takes an in-depth look at one of the most important ones, the “Towards/Away From” motivation filter.
